Chiro Texpo ’19 is right around the corner – June 7-9 at the Hyatt Regency Dallas. TCA’s annual convention is the ONE chiropractic event in Texas you don’t want to miss. If you’ve already registered, you’re in for an exciting weekend. If you’re procrastinating, there’s still time to join us in Dallas. Here are five things to check out (or five reasons to sign up today): 1) Sports, sports and more sports – Sports chiropractic is huge right now. It seems like every top-flight athlete or professional sports team has a chiropractor on staff. It makes perfect sense: who’s more qualified to ensure the body is in competition shape than a DC? That’s why you need to check out Dr. Greg Rose’s session. As an instructor with the Titlelist Performance Institute, Dr. Rose works closely with golfers on the PGA Tour, not to mention Major League Baseball players and athletes on the ATP and WTA tennis tours. His program, Body-Sport Connection – Linking the Physical Screen to Athletic Skills, will teach you everything you want to know about rotary athletes. But Dr. Rose isn’t the only sports specialist in the speaker line-up. Health and fitness guru Pam Owens, who has been recognized one of the Top 50 Golf Fitness Professionals by Golf Digest, will show you how to improve your patients’ mobility and body control in her featured session, Control Yourself. Check out the complete schedule of sessions. 2) Texas Women’s Chiropractic Summit – Female DCs, this year’s Summit is going to be special. You’ll be inspired by Dr. Cathy Wendland-Colby’s workshop, Empowering Your Community Through Ongoing Patient Education. In addition to teaching your patients and community about the benefits of chiropractic care for the entire family, you’ll learn how to combine the science, art and philosophy of chiropractic and communicate these messages to impact the masses. Afterwards, you’ll get the opportunity to fine-tune your skills at Dr. Danielle Finden’s Women’s Adjusting Workshop: Keeping Your Healing Practice from Hurting You. Learn adaptations to manual adjusting technique to improve your effectiveness and efficiency while protecting your body from vulnerability to injury. You will learn things that you can immediately implement into your practice! The Summit will conclude with “High Tea” and networking with your fellow female DCs. You will have a blast! 3) Personal Injury galore – If you’re into PI or thinking about adding it to your practice, Chiro Texpo ’19 is the place to be! Dr. Jeffrey Cronk’s session, Etiology (Cause), Diagnosis & Management of Spinal Ligament Injuries for Better Patient Results – Let’s Make Personal Injury Work Simple for Smart Injury Doctors, is a must. And get a legal perspective on PI by checking out two one-hour sessions from TCA Platinum Sponsor Bergquist Law Firm. 4) Build a better practice – You’re only as good as the team around you. That’s why you need to send your full team – associate(s), chiropractic assistant, office manager and staff – to Chiro Texpo ’19. If you have other DCs in your practice, they’ll benefit from the education and business sessions, including TBCE, Medicare and acupuncture hours. The rest of your staff needs to be at workshop featuring The Collection Coach’s Kelli Moore, Chiropractic Assistants – From Good to Great! You’ll learn compliance with billing, coding, documentation and ethical standards. Plus, there will plenty of time for questions and problem-solving. Looking to add to your team? If you’re in search for a new associate, sign up for the Career Fair. Students and new grads from Parker University and Texas Chiropractic College will be on hand, not to mention DCs looking for their next opportunity. There’s no cost to attend the Career Fair if you’re a TCA member. While you’re at it, spend lots of time on the Texpo floor learning about products and companies who can take you to the next level. 5) Get informed and involved – At Chiro Texpo ’19, you’ll get a complete rundown of what happened during the 86th Texas Legislative Session and the latest legal updates. Most importantly, you’ll meet TCA leaders and other active members. They’re the ones trying to advance chiropractic in Texas. Come and find out how you can make a difference! Chiro Texpo ’19 is the perfect venue to complete all 16 CE hours – all in one weekend. If you’ve already completed your hours, you can purchase a one-day CE pass, a Texpo pass or other options. Register online today or call the TCA office at (512) 477-9292. See you at Chiro Texpo ’19 this summer in Dallas! Jeffrey S. Jenkins, CAE TCA Executive Director
