A Message from TCA President's Andrew Oteo, DC

As we move into the fall, I continue to be encouraged by the momentum building throughout the Texas Chiropractic Association. When we began this leadership year, one of our primary goals was simple: turn ideas into action and create more opportunities for every Texas chiropractor to engage with their association.
Our 90-Day Sprint is helping us do exactly that. Across our departments and committees, leaders are establishing priorities, improving accountability, and focusing their energy on initiatives that create meaningful value for our members and profession. I am grateful to everyone who has stepped forward to serve! TCA succeeds when talented doctors from across Texas contribute their time, experience, and ideas.
Membership remains one of our greatest opportunities. Texas has thousands of chiropractors, and a stronger TCA means a stronger voice for all of us. Growing our association cannot simply be the responsibility of the Membership Committee or staff. It requires each of us to tell the TCA story, invite colleagues to participate, mentor younger doctors, and demonstrate why organized chiropractic matters.
That begins with relationships. Whether we are connecting with students at Parker University and Texas Chiropractic College, engaging doctors within our districts, building relationships with other healthcare professionals, or increasing awareness in our local communities, every connection strengthens the foundation of our profession.
There is also a tremendous amount ahead of us. TCA Clays for Chiros DFW, coming up October 17 in Dallas, provides another opportunity for fellowship and support of the profession. Looking further ahead, TCA Legislative Day on February 11, 2027, in Austin will give chiropractors from across Texas an opportunity to come together in Austin and engage directly in the legislative process. And planning is already underway for Chiro Texpo ’27, June 25-27 in Austin, where we intend to deliver an outstanding weekend of education, leadership, networking, and community.
My challenge to every TCA member is simple: get involved. Attend an event. Invite a colleague. Participate in your district. Join a committee. Mentor a student or young doctor. Build a relationship in your community. There is a place for everyone to contribute.
The future of chiropractic in Texas will not be determined by a handful of people sitting around a boardroom table. It will be shaped by thousands of Texas chiropractors choosing to participate.
Thank you for allowing me the privilege of serving as your TCA President. I am incredibly excited about what we are building together!
Andrew Oteo, DC
