The Texas Chiropractic Association has been blessed with continuity in our staffing since I returned as TCA’s Executive Director/COO in 2021, but change is a part of life. As such, TCA is changing and growing! In the past two weeks, we’ve added two members to the team – Farren Curtis and Maggie Thompson. Farren and Maggie each bring a wealth of experience that will serve TCA well, and we’re excited to have them on board. As Membership Services Director, Farren is in charge of all TCA’s membership activities. Farren also handles registration for all TCA conferences, seminars, webinars, and special events, in addition to managing the TCA office. Consider Farren your official tour guide for your TCA experience, and she’s eager to meet you at your next TCA event. Maggie is our Marketing & Events Director, and she is responsible for planning and implementing all of TCA’s marketing and communications initiatives, including our Texas Chiropractic eSource and Chiro Connect newsletters, website, the TCA app, and social media channels. She also is responsible for planning Chiro Texpo, West Texas Conference, and other events. At the same time, TCA is losing Janet Asghar, our veteran Membership Services Director. Janet, who has been a mainstay at TCA for eight years, is retiring next month, but she will remain involved in TCA on a part-time basis and continue to manage our continuing education program. More on Janet in next month’s eSource! TCA has the friendliest members, so when you see Farren or Maggie at a TCA state or district event, say hi and welcome them to the TCA family. A few other items of note: ♦TBCE Mandatory Hours Webinar – TCA is offering a TBCE hours webinar next week, Monday, October 20, and Wednesday, October 22, from 7-9 pm. If you need your hours, there’s still time to register. The webinar is FREE for TCA Elite and Premium members, so take advantage of this benefit. REGISTER NOW! ♦TCA Regional Seminar – Tyler – TCA is offering a one-day, hands-on workshop, Precision in Practice – Advanced Adjusting & Rehab, with The GRIP Approach’s Benjamin Fergus, DC, on Saturday, November 8, in Tyler. TCA is bringing one elite instructor to East Texas, so don’t miss out. REGISTER TO SAVE YOUR SPOT! ♦TCA Tour of Texas – We have three more dates for our road show across Texas, including Laredo (Tuesday, October 21), Fort Worth (Thursday, November 6) and Tyler (Friday, November 7). If there’s a tour event in your area, RSVP and bring a guest! ♦TCA Member App – We launched our new app last month, and many of you still haven’t downloaded it yet. Using the app will make it easier to navigate TCA, including paying your member dues, registering for events, and being in the know. Plus, it’s your portal to network with friends and colleagues. Download the app today! Also, watch the reel for more info. On behalf of TCA, thank you for being a member. We are nothing without you! Jeff Jenkins, CAE TCA Executive Director/COO
