Summer is winding down, and it’s been a busy one for the Texas Chiropractic Association. And that’s exactly how I like it. It started with an awesome Chiro Texpo ’25 in late June in Frisco. A big thank you to the doctors, students, partners, exhibitors, and sponsors who made this year’s Texas state convention our biggest and best in years! We appreciate the positive feedback and look forward to seeing you at Chiro Texpo ’26, June 26-28, 2026, at the AT&T Conference Center in Austin. Save the date! July was even more hectic as I joined TCA Secretary/Treasurer Dr. Korey Rose and several TCA leaders at the Texas Chiropractic College Convention on the TCC campus. It was a privilege being part of the Next Gen Summit, with TCA chiropractors speaking to a packed house of TCC students eager to learn. Fantastic job by TCC President Dr. Sandra Hughes and her hard-working team for putting on an outstanding event. It was fun connecting with TCC alumni, and TCA was proud to show our support by being there. At the end of the month, I represented TCA at NeuroCon, hosted by Parker University, and was completely blown away by the caliber of speakers on the Parker stage. As far as neurology conferences go, this is hands-down the best. Well-done! In between, the TCA Summer Leadership Retreat took place in Round Rock. It was an intense weekend, with the TCA leadership team tasked with developing a new strategic plan to guide our association to future success. We are just getting started, but the ideas shared have the potential to be game-changing for TCA and chiropractic in Texas. Stay tuned for updates and look out for the new TCA member app in a few weeks! So, what’s next? The TCA Tour of Texas, our road show across the Lone Star State, is back in action with stops in Austin and San Antonio, plus lots of district mixers. Want to know what TCA is doing for the profession and how to get more involved? You are invited to attend and bring a guest, especially a fellow DC. Check out the TCA events calendar for all the details. One last thing about our Summer Leadership Retreat: our No. 1 priority is explosive membership growth. Our leadership team is focused on getting more Texas chiropractors to join the TCA community, and it starts with you! While we appreciate you being a member, go the extra step by signing up your associates or reaching out to your colleagues, whether it’s the DC right down the street or a former classmate. Send them to our membership page or reach out to the TCA office at (512) 477-9292 or email info@chirotexas.org. Being your TCA President is the biggest honor so far in my career. I saw up close when my father, Dr. Dale White Jr., was TCA President back in the mid-1990s. Growing up, our family was always at TCA events, and it’s surreal to be in this position serving next to some of the same kids I played with when I was young. Thank you for this opportunity and challenge! I promise you that your TCA Executive Officers, the Board of Directors and other TCA leaders are working hard for you! We take our charge to protect, preserve and promote chiropractic seriously. Enjoy your last few weeks of summer! Hope to see you at the TCA Tour of Texas or another TCA event soon! Sincerely, Don White, DC TCA President
