Today is Valentine’s Day, and it’s the perfect occasion to show the people in your life just how much they mean to you. But what’s wrong with showing your profession a little love, too? Sorry, Hallmark! Skip the pricey bouquet and cringy greeting card and do something bigger and bolder. Sign up for TCA Legislative Day, the biggest day of the year for chiropractic in Texas. On Thursday, March 6, hundreds of Texas chiropractors, chiropractic students, and chiropractic supporters will converge on Austin for a shared passion: spreading their love (and knowledge) of chiropractic with key decision-makers at the Capitol. The Texas Chiropractic Association is counting on you to be there. TCA strives to schedule meetings with all 181 Texas Senate and House offices, but we can’t blanket the Capitol without numbers. We need lots of chiropractors in Austin, especially constituents. Having a voter in the room not only helps us to confirm the meeting, but it also commands the attention of your state senator or representative. Ok, many of you are sick of politics, but TCA won’t be in Austin to make political statements. TCA prides itself on being non-partisan, but pro-chiropractic. The goal of TCA Legislative Day is to garner support for our core bills, which have the potential to help your practice and get more Texans in chiropractic care. Never been to TCA Legislative Day? No need to worry! TCA will hold an evening webinar the week prior to our big event with all the details, so stay tuned! Our TCA lobbyists from State Craft also will hold an orientation the morning of TCA Legislative Day to explain our bills and introduce you to your teams for the day. TCA Legislative Day is fun, and it’s inspiring to be around people who truly love chiropractic. And it’s incredibly effective! Over the past five legislative sessions, TCA has paved the way for 10 pro-chiropractic bills that were signed into law. Your right to diagnose, own and operate an integrated clinic, etc., happened directly because of TCA members’ efforts on past TCA Legislative Day events.
