Moynica S. Parott, DC, better known as “Dr.Moy,” is fervent and grateful to be a savant of chiropractic in San Antonio! Dr. Moy is passionate about family care because she has repeatedly seen the great changes in health and quality of life through chiropractic care. She knows the body has the ability to correct and heal itself; sometimes, it just needs a little help! Dr. Moy is well-versed in using a combination of techniques, including Diversified, Thompson Drop, Activator, Logan Basic, Active Release Technique, or a combination. Dr. Moy grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She attended Columbia College and graduated in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a sports management emphasis. Her chiropractic journey began when she became a chiropractic assistant for several years at a chiropractic office. It was there that her passion and excitement for chiropractic ignited. Witnessing infants, children, adolescents, young adults, athletes, pregnant moms, and elder adults all getting better through principled chiropractic adjustments had a profound effect on her. She then started her chiropractic education at Logan University in Chesterfield, Missouri, and graduated in 2020. Dr. Moy has received chiropractic care regularly for years to help maintain her active lifestyle and healthy functioning nervous system. It is important that she practices what she teaches. When Dr. Moy is out of the office, she loves to work out, read, learn new things, listen to music, spend time outside and, most importantly, rest. Dr. Moy is happily married to her husband Antonio. They enjoy supporting each other and spending quality time, sharing many interests. Why did you join TCA and why do you think every Texas chiropractor should be a TCA member? I joined TCA to grow my network, attain CEU’s, be informed on current chiropractic information, and give back. Every Texas chiropractor should absolutely be a member of this state association: 1. To be plugged into the current events. 2. Support the efforts to protect and defend our scope of practice. 3. Commune with other DCs. What TCA membership benefit is most valuable to you? Learning from the wisdom of those who’ve come before me. Tell us what you’re most excited about in your new District 10 Leadership Role? I am most excited about networking with District 10 DCs, staff, and sponsors. It will be great getting to know who’s who in District 10 and making valuable connections to help more patients. Why do you feel the Next Gen Committee is so important and what do you look forward to while being part of the TCA Next Gen Committee? It is very important for me to be a part of the Next Gen Committee to focus and help build up new doctors of chiropractic. The new DCs are the future that will carry on the torch. Next Gen helps to bridge that gap between leaving school and becoming professionals. And trust me, there are a lot of details that we don’t realize or understand during that time. They need to know we are here for them; we support them, and we help one another. Our greatest assets are our actions. What’s your biggest professional accomplishment so far? Taking care of patients! What’s something about you (a fun fact) few people know about you? I was a chiropractic assistant before becoming a chiropractor. What hobbies or interests do you have outside of chiropractic? I love eating good food and shopping!
