Texas is a HUGE state. Over the past few weeks, I’ve put hundreds of miles on my car traveling to our events on the 2022 TCA Tour of Texas, our annual road show. And it’s been totally worth it! I’ve gotten the opportunity to meet dozens of chiropractors from Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, and San Antonio. It is truly an honor to be the TCA President, and one of my goals is to get to know our members and encourage all Texas doctors to be part of the TCA community. TCA is one big family, and it is tough keeping everyone connected in a state that is so geographically challenging. But, despite everyone being so busy, our doctors showed up in healthy numbers, eager to connect with each other and find out what YOUR state association is doing to advance chiropractic in the Lone Star State. A big thank you to our TCA Platinum Partner Bergquist Law Firm. David Bergquist and his BLF team sure know how to throw a party, and the food and atmosphere at our first four events was outstanding. Everyone had a blast! But we’re not done. The final stop of the Tour of Texas is Houston on Friday, November 18, at TopGolf Houston/Katy. TCA District 11 is our official host, and we’re counting on Houston-area chiropractors to show up for a memorable evening. You don’t have to be a TCA member to attend. Register now! If the TCA Tour of Texas didn’t come to your city this fall, you might want to check out our TCA Virtual Town Hall – Texas Politics, the Courts and Their Impact on Chiropractic in Texas at 7:30 p.m. CT Tuesday, November 15. You’ll get the same key updates from TCA attorney Matt Wood, TCA lobbyists Josh Massingill and Kaden Norton, and our TCA executives and legislative team. Sign up for the TCA Virtual Town Hall This is your time to ask questions and share your feedback. As 2022 winds down, we have much to look forward to in the coming months. Please join at district meetings, our TCA Legislative Day at the State Capitol, or one of our three conferences – Texas Chiropractic Legislative Conference in Austin, TCA West Texas Conference in Lubbock, or Chiro Texpo ’23 in Addison. Stay tuned for more details in the eSource newsletter, on our TCA website and our social media channels! As a member of the Texas executive team, we are here to serve all Texas chiropractors. Get involved in TCA and let’s have some fun while making our profession stronger. Best! William Lawson, DC TCA President
