It has been months since COVID-19 became part of our vernacular. No doubt, it’s been tough on all of us – personally and professionally. For TCA, one of the worst parts of the pandemic is not getting to connect with our members – face-to-face, anyway. The first casualty was our TCA Tour of Texas presented by Bergquist Law Firm, with our March, April and May stops postponed. Our TCA districts were forced to cancel meetings because of shelter-in-place guidelines. In addition, TCA leadership made the difficult decision to go virtual with Chiro Texpo ’20, our TCA annual convention. We will truly miss the opportunity to see you in Frisco this summer, but we encourage you to support your state association by participating in our reimagined Chiro Texpo on June 6-30. The biggest positive of the virtual Chiro Texpo is the format – a combination of 2 ½ days of live programming, plus more than a dozen recorded, on-demand sessions. You can learn at your own pace from your laptop, office computer or smart phone without missing valuable time from your practice. Plus, you have until the end of June to complete your CE hours. What are you waiting for? Register online now! Chiro Texpo isn’t the only TCA event to go virtual. In lieu of district meetings, TCA has hosted Community Check-Ins for each of its 12 TCA districts. In all, 11 events are in the books. However, the final one – for TCA District 2 – is set for Tuesday, May 19, from 7-8 p.m. CT. These Community Check-Ins allowed TCA state and district leaders to provide you with the latest chiropractic, legislative and legal updates. They also were an excuse to find out how you’re coping in the COVID-19 era and discover how TCA can better serve you. For all the doctors who logged in or called in, thank you for sharing your unique stories. As part of these Community-Check-Ins, TCA districts hosted elections and installed the new leadership teams for 2020-21. These individuals will step into their new roles at the conclusion of Chiro Texpo ’20. Congrats to the following doctors who were elected by their peers!
