The Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners reports that there are 6,069 actively licensed DCs in Texas. There are 2,857 who hold a non-renewable license, 699 inactive licenses, 122 expired licenses, 51 CE-conditional licenses, 12 probated licenses and 3 suspended licenses as of the end of June. TBCE also reports the following disciplinary actions: two licensees were ordered to take and pass the Jurisprudence Examination for failure to timely report a criminal conviction; one was fined $1000 for failure to timely report a change of mailing address; one was fined $2000 for failure to timely furnish a patient’s records to both the patient and the patient’s attorney and for withholding records from the attorney based on the lack of a letter of protection; one was issued a two-year suspension with three months down-time and the remaining 21 months probated, along with additional required reporting; one license revoked for the final conviction of a felony offense.
