Texstar Chiropractic - SW Austin

Started going here a few months ago after having severe neck & upper shoulders issues. Found these guys on Yelp (derrr), & they're super conveniently located here in South Austin/Sunset Valley right off of Southwest parkway in a strip mall, for lack of a better word.

Began with and have been seeing Dr. Roemer - he's the coolest, nicest, & most thorough chiropractor i've ever personally been to (and my started me young on going to the chiropractor when i was 8 or 9 yrs old). From my x-rays, he informed me that i have a bulging disc both in my neck, and in my lower back. While, for the time being, I cannot afford Dr. Roemer's recommended action plans, this is really my health insurance's fault bc they don't approve to pay for usage of this decompression device that i need, which Dr. R told me has been out on the market for 10-15+ years by now, but still isn't approved nor recognized by primary health insurance companies as it's considered/labeled an "advanced treatment." However, there is no alternative, "primary" treatment to use first, or "primarily". Anywhos, thanks to this fun insurance dilemma, i have been coming in 3x a week to have my neck/shoulders/spine manually adjusted by Dr. Roemer. I also have a 10 minute session on the IT-machine, or "the rolly" as the staff call it. Since becoming a regular patient, I have noticed a wonderful impact & improvement in the level of pain experienced daily, as well as in my neck's fluidity of motion and range.

The staff here set the highest standard when it comes to consistency and providing a personalized, patient-first mantra. They're extremely kind and knowledgeable, with Bri & Taylor holding down the fort at the front desk and in assisting the doctors. They even go out of their way to individually send me appt reminder texts, and i'm also able to reschedule my appts with them via text!

I was just recently informed that Dr. Roemer is soon moving on from TexStar to open his own practice, so they have brought in a replacement doc, Dr. Smith, who is a more tenured chiro with a lot of experience. I've met Dr. Smith a handful of times now, and he's manually adjusted me twice - once being in my appt just now this am - and from these 2 experiences with him alone, im excited for my future treatment & wellness with him! i genuinely didn't think or know it was humanly possible, but Dr. Smith is even more through, strategic, smart, and expert-level in his curated practice of his patients. His unique wisdom translates into his specialized, additional tweaks, stretches, and quick exercises that he does with you during/after his physical adjustment to enhance + elevate your immediate and more long-term, accrued benefits.

I cannot shout "TexStar Chiro" from the hill country depths of Texas any louder !!! For any and all of your neck/back/shoulders/spinal/body alignment/body-bones' needs - look nowhere else, & come out on the other side happier n healthier thanks to this special, tight-knit crew!

I was very skeptical when informed about the knee-on-trac knee traction machine. I remember saying sure, I'll try it as a courtesy to you all, not a believer........ 11 months later and my knee pain has become so diminished. I am a complete fan and recommend to anyone I know who has the knee limp....you know who you are! In addition, because Dr. Roemer pays attention to the total health of his patients, not just their spine, my husband sought further medical treatment and is getting help that he truly needed, in addition to his chiropractic visits (which are keeping him off of pain meds for his back.)

I too would like to give this group TEN STARS. A special shout out as well to the support staff, they are all fantastic.

Staff is friendly and respectful. I enjoyed coming in to my appointments. I appreciate the care this practice gives!

I am so thankful my massage therapist told me my spine looked misaligned. I promptly reached out to TexStar about scheduling an appointment due to all the wonderful things I have heard about this chiropractor office. The office was able to fit me in promptly for an evaluation and sent me the paperwork ahead of time. It was a very smooth process to get set up as a new patient.

My evaluation with Dr. Tran went really well. He sure knows his stuff! Turns out I have more issues than I thought and I am so grateful to have someone as knowledgeable and honest as Dr. Tran.

I've been in rehab and treatment for a few weeks now and the difference has been night and day. I no longer have lower back pain and sleep so much better now. My husband was slightly jealous hearing about my experiences and was able to get started as a new patient as well. We love attending our chiro appointments together!

Dr. Tran has healing hands, Brittany in the front office is a scheduling guru, and Ben the therapy tech is just one of the kindest people you will ever meet. We are so happy to be patients at TexStar and look forward to trusting them with all of our chiro needs moving forward.

I love coming here. Everyone is friendly and caring. It's like visiting your friends and getting your treatments done.

Dr. Tran/ Dr. Henry were able to get me from constant back pain to none right now. I hurt my back twice now and both time they were able to get me back up on my feet within no time.

Treatments started with body scan, xrays and questionnaires. This is so that they can monitor your improvement. It's pretty cool. I saw how much my posture changed through each scan. They also send you home with excercises. It is really easy to follow and targeted.

It is very easy to make appt. You can call or text. They usually have very flexible schedules. Kim is sweet as pie and super helpful. Everything that you need are done with minimal to no wait time.

Facility and equipments are alway clean. There are complimentary coffee, hot chocolate and tea. I usually grab a drink after my treatment because I never finish a cup prior to. The wait time from checking in and getting treatment are always too short.

So happy i found this place. My knee was in horrible pain. I thought i was going to need knee replacement. I had already had my other knee replaced and didnt want to go thru that again. I heard about a cold laser thing at Texstar ., and thought "why not?".
I was way sceptical about chiropractic. I have been proven wrong. I lierally limped ino Texstar. Let me say first that there is no magic one visit thing that will work. After 4 visits now, my pain level is half what it was. Im walking my dog again! After a few more visits, Im looking foward to getting pain free or close to pain free , and getting back to being active again.
If you are considering visit to Orthopedic, they have one answer for everything. Surgery. Maybe because they make 90 grand on a knee replacement.
Try this first. You can thank me later.

Dr. Henry and Dr. Tran are amazing. They have a great staff committed to giving great service. What makes them different? For starters, you will learn about your spine and general care for your physique. Some chiropractors will crack the back, ease your soreness and keep you balanced but Dr. Henry snd Dr. Tran are super sensitive to the touch and will never force manipulate your back or neck.
You get a full exam on the curvature and health of your frame and the assessment is designed to help you over a long period of time.
Friendly, fast, and forthcoming TexStar is a place where you leave your pain behind.

I can safely say that this clinic is one of the best I've ever visited. The consultation and treatment plan are detailed and specific to what I need.

Kim is always cheerful when I walk in, and is willing to deal with my ridiculous schedule as well as my budget issues. Kat and Dr. Henry are both very attentive and explain everything in detail that I can understand. They are always willing to answer my questions!

I found TexStar Chiropractic because they were the closest chiropractor to my home when I searched via Google Maps. I feel seriously lucky I live where I live, because I love this staff and am so happy to have stumbled upon them!

I'm 24 and I've had chronic, nauseating back pain every day for the last 6 years. I've seen multiple doctors, chiropractors, and specialists between my home state and Austin but each time have heard things like, "Your scans look fine, so I dunno" and "Take this pill once a day, you'll feel better". As happens with people in chronic pain, I've been through depression feeling like nobody would ever believe the pain I felt was real because THEY didn't know what was causing it. On multiple occasions, I've "given up" trying to find relief because the doctors and insurance were causing me way too much stress.

I sent an email to the office inquiring about becoming a patient during an especially bad "flare up" of pain. I received a call back from Kim within the hour and she was SO helpful and encouraging. I had an appointment for the very next morning, as it was my soonest availability. (They probably would have seen me sooner if they could have!)

Meeting the staff the next day was awesome. As I said, Kim was so kind and made me feel genuinely important, Raeniece was professional and personable as she performed my X-rays, and Cat's knowledge and ability to explain the tools used for treatment to me in a way I could easily understand was very much appreciated.

On my return visit, Dr. Henry pulled up my scans to show me some issues he'd seen... Yep! He'd placed little red circles EXACTLY where I feel all of the pain originate and radiate from. I could have cried looking at those circles! He also showed me misaligned bone at the base of my skull, saying "This could potentially cause a lot of headaches". Yep, every day! Something I hadn't yet told him about, he identified himself and fixed that day.

This is super cheesy, but TexStar has made me so hopeful for recovery again. I haven't felt that way about my condition in a very long time. I'm extremely excited to continue treatment with Dr. Henry and his staff. All around, 5 stars! Thank you!
